1. Payment Methods

Deranged Designs accepts credit cards, Paypal, money orders, checks, or cash. Use the website checkout to pay with credit card or Paypal. Send me an email if you have any problems during checkout.

To pay with a money order, check, or cash, send me an email. List the items you want to purchase and give me your name and address so I can figure out shipping costs. I will email you back with further instructions.

When filling out the checkout form, you will need to give me your email address. Make sure you leave an email address that you check regularly, in case I need to contact you.

2. Shipping Methods

Deranged Designs uses USPS to ship all orders. Depending on where you live and the size of your order, I will use USPS First-Class, USPS Priority, or USPS International First-Class to ship your order.

Ship times: this table shows how long it will take for you to receive your order. It combines the time it takes for me to get the post office to the time it takes the post office to deliver your order.

Sometimes international orders can be held up in customs for a month or longer. This is rare so I did not include it in average ship times.

Need your order faster?

Priority mail shipping (1-3 days domestic, 6-10 days international) is now available when you check out. If you need Express shipping (1-2 days) then send an email to with your order details to see if Express shipping is possible. I can also purchase signature confirmation or additional tracking info for your order. If you need Express Shipping for a handmade item, you may need to pay an additional fee for me to make the item immediately. If these ship times are slower than you expect, it is because I work for myself (with no employees) and it can be difficult to ship all new orders out immediately.

Shipping Costs

USA orders are shipped at a flat rate of $3.00. Shipping rates for other countries depends on the weight of your order. To figure out your shipping cost, just add items to your shopping cart, go to the checkout page, enter in your zip code then choose your country and the correct shipping option, and click on "Apply".

USA orders, choose "USA Standard Shipping" as your shipping option in the shopping cart. Canada orders, choose "Canada Standard Shipping", and any other country choose "International Standard Shipping". You can also choose Priority Mail if you need your order faster.

3. Paying with Paypal

After you fill your shopping cart and check out, Paypal will process your payment. You do not need a Paypal account for this. All you need to do is enter your address and credit card information in their secure payment processing page.

If you have a Paypal account, you can log in to use your Paypal balance to pay for your order. Make sure your registered Paypal address is up to date and that it matches the address you enter in the shopping cart.

If you have any problems with the Paypal system, send me an email. The problem can usually be fixed by me sending a Paypal bill directly to your email address.

4. Receipts and Tracking Info

After you order, you will get an order receipt sent to your email address.

After I ship your order, Paypal will email you with a Delivery Confirmation number or a customs form number.

Enter one of these numbers at to check the status of your order. USPS does not always update these with detailed tracking info, but they will usually show if there are any problems with delivery.

You can purchase additional tracking info for a fee. Email me before you check out if you want to upgrade your shipping method to include detailed tracking.

Returns and Exchanges

You might qualify for a return or exchange if you send an email to within TWO WEEKS of receiving your item. Please read on for the full return policy.

Before you order, please note that absolutely no returns are allowed on:

  • Custom orders (if you are purchasing a custom order, I will warn you about the no-return policy before asking for payment)
  • Rush orders
  • Sale or discounted items
  • DIY/sewing supplies
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or damaged
  • Items that you received in the mail over 2 weeks ago

Returns and refunds are allowed on:

    Any clothing item that is not customized, on sale, or purchased with a rush fee (as long as you contact Deranged Designs within TWO WEEKS of receiving item)

    *If you are located outside of the US I cannot guarantee a refund on the shipping cost that you paid.

    If you are ordering a handmade item, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the entire item description and COMPARE YOUR MEASUREMENTS to the size chart to figure out what size you wear. If you have ANY questions, send an email to

    Please remember that Deranged Designs is a small business that does not have return policies that are as lenient as those at large companies. When you make an order, I am trusting that you have read the entire item description and measured yourself to find the right size.

    If you need to return or exchange an item, send an email to within one week of receiving your order. I will give you instructions from there.

    If you wait longer than a week to send me an email, I might not be about to process your return.

    International Orders and Customs

    Your country may charge customs fees when you receive your package. I am sorry but I cannot mark your order as a “gift” so you can avoid the fees. Contact your local post office to learn about fee rates.

    Deranged Designs has successfully shipped orders to over 30 countries! Almost half of my business comes from outside the United States. I love shipping to new places and I am amazed that people all over the world are wearing my designs.

    To avoid any shipping problems, make sure to double check your shipment address and email address when you check out. I might need to contact you about your order, so make sure to leave an email address that you check regularly.

    California State Sales Tax

    A sales tax of 8.25% will be charged to all California residents. This may be higher or lower than the sales tax in your county but I have to charge the Sacramento city rate.

    Deranged Designs uses Yahoo! Small Business webhosting. Yahoo! has taken steps to make their shopping cart as secure as possible. Payments are processed through Paypal and Deranged Designs does not keep your credit card information. All of your information is safe and will not be given away or sold to another party.

    Online security also depends on how well you keep your personal computer protected. Make sure you have an active firewall and an anti-virus program installed in your computer. Keep your anti-virus program updated to the latest version and perform regular virus scans on your computer. If you are looking for a free and simple anti-virus program, I recommend AVG and MalwareBytes.

    Also, change your passwords frequently so that your email account doesn't get stolen and exploited. I'm sick of getting spam mail from customers who saved my email address in their address book and then let their accounts get stolen!
